Hurricanes Marketing Wins Two NACMA Awards
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes Athletic Marketing staff won two 2014 NACMA “Best Of” Awards this week at the annual NACDA Convention.
In the Revenue-Generating Idea category, Miami’s Ticket Sales Class, taught by Associate AD Andrew Goodrich and Assistant AD Brian Bowsher, won gold. In the Sponsorship Activation category, the Tiger Direct #TVsForTDs promotion won silver.
“We are honored to earn these awards, none of which would have been possible without the fantastic culture of teamwork and excellence that permeates the entire external unit at UM,” said Andrew Goodrich, Associate AD for Marketing and Sales.
“Additional thanks goes to Jeff Ziegenhorn of HSP and Kari Baker with Phizzle for their roles in creating the Tiger Direct Sponsorship Activation,” Goodrich said. “We’d also like to thank the faculty in UM’s Sports Administration program for their role in creating an opportunity for our students to learn the fundamentals of ticket sales in a real world environment.”
This is the second consecutive year that Miami’s marketing team has earned multiple distinctions for their achievements by NACMA.
