@MiamiTrack Travels to LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Miami track and field program is back in action for the first time since a big performance at the ACC Outdoor Championships two weeks ago.

The Hurricanes travel to Louisiana to compete in the LSU Invitational. Miami will have 23 student-athletes in action, 10 men and 13 women. The LSU Invitational will feature the Canes, as well as the University of Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and the host LSU Tigers.

Miami’s women will feature four individual ACC outdoor champions in Jamika Glades, Lea Johnson, Alyssa McClure and Shakima WImbley. The 2014 ACC outdoor champion 4x100m relay team of Kayann Richards, McClure, Jasmyne King and Wimbley will also represent the Canes in Baton Rouge.

The men’s team will be led by five individuals that scored at the 2014 ACC Outdoor Championships. John-Patrick Friday, TeQuille Jackson, Carlos Mangum, Gian Piero Ragonesi and Timothy Richardson will look to build off their ACC success against some of the top teams in the country this week. Sprinter Phillip Dorsett will also make his 2014 outdoor debut this week after scoring at the 2014 ACC Indoor Championships.
