@CanesVB Announces 2014 ACC Schedule
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball program has released its ACC schedule for the 2014 season.
The Hurricanes will play 18 ACC games, nine home and nine away. The 2014 season will be the Canes’ second under the tutelage of head coach Jose “Keno” Gandara.
Miami opens ACC play on Friday, Sept. 26, when they host Notre Dame. They will close out the month of September with a trip to Duke on Sept. 28.
The Canes open October with a two-match homestand, hosting Clemson (Oct. 3) and Florida State (Oct. 5). Two weeks later, they are back at home to host Virginia Tech (Oct. 17) and Georgia Tech (Oct. 19). Miami has four road matches in October, traveling to Syracuse (Oct. 10), Boston College (Oct 12), Wake Forest (Oct. 24) and North Carolina (Oct. 31)
On Nov. 7, the Hurricanes will host Louisville for the first time since the Cardinals joined the ACC. Two days later, the Canes welcome Virginia to Coral Gables for a match (Nov. 9). Miami’s final homestand of the 2014 season will feature Syracuse (Nov. 21) and Boston College (Nov. 23). The Hurricanes play four matched on the road in November, visiting NC State (Nov. 1), Pittsburgh (Nov. 14), Georgia Tech (Nov. 26) and Florida State (Nov. 28)
The Hurricanes will play every team in the ACC at least once, while Syracuse, Boston College, Georgia Tech and Florida State are slated for two matches against Miami.
All Canes volleyball home matches are played at the James L. Knight Sports Complex on the University of Miami campus.
