Men's Tennis Hosts B-CU & FAMU this Weekend
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will take on Bethune-Cookman University Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m., then turn around and compete against Florida A&M on Sunday, February 2 at noon. Both matches will take place at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables.
The Hurricanes currently hold a 1-1 record in their spring season, sweeping Florida Atlantic in the beginning of January and a week later falling to UCF.
Senior Omar Aly is looking to add another win to his singles record of 2-0. Aly and his doubles partner, Wilfredo Gonzalez, will try to stay undefeated as well. Duo Gabriel Flores and Diego Soto are also on a two-match winning streak.
Miami will be Bethune-Cookman’s first dual match of the Wildcats’ season. Florida A&M is coming into their seventh match, holding a 2014 record of 2-4. The Rattlers are on a two-match winning streak.
