Hurricanes Take on UCF
CORAL GALBES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team will play against the UCF Knights Sunday, January 19 at 12 p.m. in Orlando at the UCF Tennis Complex.
Miami is coming off a great win in their first match of the 2014 season against Florida Atlantic this past Sunday. The Canes won three doubles matches and all six singles matches to shut out the Owls 7-0. The Hurricanes look to continue their winning streak this weekend against in-state foe UCF.
Seniors, Omar Aly and Diego Soto both won their singles matches in straight sets. Underclassmen William Albanese and Bernard Tefel followed suit with two more wins the same way. Gabriel Flores and Soto paired up to nearly shut out their double competitors with a 6-1 win.
