@CanesHoops Banner Unveiling Set for Friday

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The University of Miami men’s basketball team opens its 2013-14 season Friday night with a Homecoming matchup against visiting St. Francis Brooklyn. Tip-off is set for 10 p.m. from the BankUnited Center.

Prior to the game, three banners commemorating last season’s unprecedented title run will be presented in a special ceremony. Separate banners recognizing the ACC regular season championship, ACC tournament championship and an appearance in the Sweet 16 will be unveiled in the BankUnited Center rafters.

Given the busy schedule of Homecoming events scheduled for Friday evening, fans are encouraged to arrive at the BankUnited Center no later than 9:30 p.m. for the pregame ceremony.
