Miami to Hold Student Pep Rally Friday Night

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Due to weather-related construction delays, there has been a change of location for the “White Out the Gators” student pep rally this Friday. The pep rally will be held at the University Center Rock near the Bookstore and will run from 6-6:30 p.m.

President Donna E. Shalala, Director of Athletics Blake James, Category 5 President Andrew Wyatt and honorary game captain Brock Berlin are scheduled to speak during Friday’s pep rally. Sebastian the Ibis, University of Miami cheerleaders, Sunsations and the Frost Band of the Hour will also be in attendance.

Thanks to Category 5, six thousand white T-shirts with head coach Al Golden’s iconic orange tie will be distributed at the student-only event.

Saturday’s game against the Florida Gators, which has been coined “White Out the Gators,” will kick at noon ET at Sun Life Stadium and will be televised on ESPN and ESPN3.
