MBB: Summer League begins in Las Vegas
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Friday marked a new beginning for three former University of Miami basketball players.
In his first summer game against the Lakers, Cleveland Cavalier Kenny Kadji played 21 minutes, scoring 6 points on 3-9 shooting from the field. He also added 5 rebounds and didn’t commit a turnover.
Durand Scott, making his San Antonio Spurs debut against the Charlotte Bobcats, was 0-1 from the field in limited action.
Shane Larkin, the 18th overall pick in the NBA draft, broke his ankle during practice and will be out 2-3 months. The Mavericks point guard averaged 14.5 points during his sophomore season at Miami.
Kadji and Scott resume action Sunday, July 13th.
