#USocial to Launch for 2013 Football Season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – For three games during the 2013 football season, the Miami Hurricanes will host #USocial, a social media suite for our social media influencers.

Up to 10 individuals from non-credentialed Hurricanes blogs, as well as selected social media influencers on Twitter, will have the opportunity for this unique experience inside Sun Life Stadium. Those three games? Florida, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

#USocial has been developed in order to grow relationships between the University of Miami Athletic Department and our social influences. The #USocial Suite is a place for UM Ambassadors and Social Media influencers to engage with the Athletic Department, with one another, and with the UM community.

Our #USocial Suite wouldn’t be social without a social media contest to determine some of the participants. Later this summer, @HurricaneSports will hold a Twitter contest to select a #CanesReporter for each of the three games. Fans will be asked to tweet us or make a Vine video as to why they should be selected.

All summer long, HurricaneSports.com and @HurricaneSports will count down to the 2013 football season opener with our summer social media series, The Next 100 Days. We will be curating unique content on HurricaneSports.com and our variety of social media platforms. Part of curating unique content comes from Hurricanes fans.
