The Game
The Miami Hurricanes will wrap up their six-game homestand Wednesday with a midweek matchup against FAU. First pitch for the battle between Sunshine State foes is set for 6 p.m.

The Series
The Hurricanes hold a 52-10 all-time advantage over the Owls, including eight of the last ten head-to-head contests. Miami swept their three games with FAU in 2012, and won 5-4 in 11 innings last time out at FAU Baseball Stadium.

Jim Morris is in his 35th season as a head coach and 20th with the Miami Hurricanes. He has a 1,504-637-4 (.701) career record, including a 869-329-3 mark at Miami, where he has guided the team to two National Championships (1999, 2001).
MAKING HISTORY…
• For his 16-strikeout performance in a March 23 complete game win over the Hokies, southpaw Bryan Radziewski was recognized with ACC Pitcher of the Week honors Monday.
• The complete game shutout was the first for a Miami pitcher since David Gutierrez accomplished the feat in 2009.
• The 16 strikeouts represented the sixth-most ever for a Miami pitcher, tying Jim Muelhausen’s single-game mark from 1969. The total represented the most punchouts for a Miami pitcher since Joe Grahe fanned 18 in 1989, and came just three shy of the ACC single-game record.
• The Pitcher of the Week award was the first for a Miami hurler since E.J. Encinosa was recognized on April 9, 2012. Radziewski was also named a Louisville Slugger Player of the
Week by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week.
STARTING OFF STRONG…
• Sophomore Chris Diaz has impressed as Friday night starter, delivering five quality starts in six chances this season.
• The Florida City, Fla., native ranks seventh in the ACC with an ERA of 1.58, and went a career-long eight innings in Friday’s win over Virginia Tech (March 22).
• Sophomore Andrew Suarez delivered a strong outing in the series finale against No. 1 UNC (March 17), striking out a career-best seven batters through 6.2 innings of work.
• Head coach Jim Morris and his staff went with a new rotation of Chris Diaz, Bryan Radziewski and Andrew Suarez against No. 24 Virginia Tech. The trio of southpaws gave up just four earned runs across 23.2 combined innings of work, good for a staff ERA of 1.52.
HEATING UP…
• OF Ricky Eusebio is hitting a team-best .357 over the past five games, all starts, and is leading all starters with five RBI’s over that stretch.
• Senior OF/DH Michael Broad, who has started four of the past five games, is hitting .455 with five hits and two runs in his last 11 at bats.
• Junior lefthander Bryan Radziewski, who was recognized with ACC Pitcher of the Week honors Monday, is 3-0 in his last three starts. He has allowed just one run across his last 19
innings of work (0.47 ERA), and has an eye-popping 32:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio over that stretch.
SCOUTING THE OWLS…
• FAU is off to a strong 15-9 start in 2013, including a 4-2 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.
• The Owl offense has been powered by Mitch Morales (.325 average, 12 RBI’s), Mark Nelson (five homeruns, 22 RBI’s), Tyler Rocklein (.295 average, four homeruns) and Nathan Pitman (11 RBI’s, eight steals).
• On the hill, FAU has been led by starters Austin Gomber (2-1, 1.37 ERA), Brandon Rhodes (2-1, 2.59) and relievers Bo Logan (11 appearances, 2.25 ERA) and Hugh Adams (six saves, 3.09).
