NCAA Men's Basketball Post-Season Information

Early Requests for Tickets:

  • Men’s basketball season ticket holders and Hurricane Club members were emailed an application for NCAA tickets. Individuals have the ability to request tickets for each round. The deadline to submit an early request isFriday, March 15th at 5 pm.
  • Hurricane Club members must renew their 2013 membership prior to receiving tickets.
  • There is a $10 application fee (whether over thephone or internet). The fee will only be charged if the request isfulfilled. It is a one-time fee, not per round.
  • Miami only receives tickets to sites in which UM is a participant. If an individual requests tickets for a site in which Miami is not a participant, they will not receive tickets for that site nor be charged.
  • Ticket quantities and allocations are based onthe established Hurricane Club giving levels and priority point system.

2nd/3rd Round Ticket Procedures:

  • The terminology of 2nd/3rdrounds can confuse some fans. The 2nd round is what many people still consider the 1st round (it is now technically the 2ndround due to the added play in-games).
  • There are two sessions for the 2nd Round.Miami only receives tickets for the session in which the Canes play (ie, Miami does notreceive full ticket booklets).
  • If Miami advances to the 3rd round, everyone who received tickets for the second round will be automatically receive, and be charged for, 3rd round tickets. Individuals must claim their tickets at Will Call. The 3rd Round is one session only.
  • No additional tickets will be available and noadditional orders will be taken for the 3rd Round game.
  • If the Canes lose the 2nd Round game, Miami will not receive tickets for the 3rd Round game.

Regional Semifinal and Final Ticket Procedures:

  • The full ticket booklet is sold (two games for the Regional Semifinal and one game for the Regional Final).
  • Individuals will receive tickets to all three games, regardless of the outcome of the games.
  • The full booklet must be picked up at WillCall or the team hotel.

Final Four Ticket Procedures:

  • The full ticket booklet is sold (two games for the National Semifinal on Saturday and one National Championship game).
  • Individuals will receive tickets to all three games, regardless of the outcome of the games.
  • The full booklet must be picked up at Will Call or the team hotel.

Will Call Information:

  • All tickets must be picked up at Will Call priorto the opening session or at the team hotel during will call hours.
  • All postseason MBB communication will be via email.

Ticket Locations:

  • All seat assignments will be determined by available seats from the NCAA andthe priority point system.

Additional Notes:

  • There will not be a limit on the number of tickets that can be requested. However, this does not guarantee that the full number of tickets requested will be fulfilled. After the tournament site is determined, UM Athletics staff will prioritize requests. This may result in some people not receiving anytickets and some receiving a reduced number of tickets.
  • The number of tickets individuals may purchase will be communicated via email after the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday March 17th.
  • Will Call information will be communicated viaemail on Monday March 18.
  • Ticket orders cannot be confirmed until after Selection Sunday.
  • Students will be sent communication for them torequest tickets. 
  • Students can only request 1 ticket perperson. The student requesting the ticket must be the same person picking the ticket up at thesite.
