Myers, Fla., give us a shout at @HurricaneSports – we want to hear from you. This week’s Cane “Behind Enemy Lines” … David RuizStetson Law SchoolSaint Petersburg, Florida How did you become a Hurricanes fan?“As a kid, when I was around 3 or 4 years old, my parents used to take me to Hurricane games. Although I don’t remember much from those days, the orange and green has stuck with me through the years. “ 
Do you find it difficult supporting Miami while living in St. Petersburg?“Because St. Pete is only about a four-hour drive from Miami, it hasn’t been a challenge to continue supporting my team and I have been able to go to several football games throughout the year. When I come home for winter break, I will try to make it to some basketball games too.”
Is there a place you visit to watch Hurricanes games in the city?
“Most Canes fans in the Bay Area live in Tampa so I don’t usually make it to the official watch parties.  But with satellite TV being everywhere nowadays, I just go to a local bar here in St. Pete and watch my Canes play.”
Have you found any other Hurricanes fans at Stetson?“The Stetson Law campus is mostly comprised of a large mix of Central Florida residents, so there aren’t as many Canes fans as there are Noles and Gators. But I have found a handful of other Canes fans on campus and I proudly wear that orange and green everywhere I go to let everyone know who is the best in the state.”
 How do you support the Hurricanes – Any apartment decorations? Favorite piece of Canes gear? Travel for games?“I go to several football games a year and I try to have some sort of orange and green color scheme going on. My car has “The U” decal on it to always show my support when I’m on the road.”
Any favorite memories or stories from your time as a Hurricanes fan? “I would say that my favorite Canes sports memory was from the 2004 FSU v. MIAMI game that went into over-time. Frank Gore rushed in for the game-winning run and he scored right in front of our seats in the West End Zone at the Orange Bowl. There is nothing that could ever match that atmosphere. It was probably the loudest and most heart-pounding, anxiety-filled game I have ever been too.”
