W. Tennis to Wrap Up Fall at Bedford Cup

CORALGABLES, Fla.  – The University of Miami women’s tennis teamwill wrap up its fall schedule with the 2012 Florida State Championship, alsoknown as the Bedford Cup. The event will be held at USF’s Varsity and P.E.courts this Friday through Sunday.

It marks the second straight event the Caneshave competed in Tampa.

Two veterans and four newcomers will be competingin the tournament that is composed entirely of players from Florida schools.

Junior Brittany Dubins and sophomore LinaLileikite will lead the young Canes, as they will be joined by freshmen KelseyLaurente, Stephanie Wagner and Deborah Suarez as well as junior transferNicolle Stracar.

The six players have a combined singlesrecord of 27-13 against collegiate opponents this fall with Stracar sporting aperfect 5-0 mark.
