Pagano, Wayne Feature on Sunday NFL Countdown

ESPN produced a feature on former Miami Hurricanes Reggie Wayne and Chuck Pagano, who were reunited in Indianapolis prior to the 2012 season. Earlier this month, it was announced that Pagano, in his first season as Colts head coach, had been diagnosed with Acute promyelocyic leukemia (APML).

Pagano, who served as a graduate assistant at Miami during the 1986 season, returned to the Hurricanes’ football program for a five-year run as the seconday coach and special teams coordinator. Inhis second coaching term with the Hurricanes (1995-2000), Pagano coached four NFL first-rounddraftees: Duane Starks (1998), Phillip Buchanon (2002), Ed Reed (2002) and MikeRumph (2002).

Wayne is in his 12th NFL season – all with the Indianapolis Colts. In four seasons at the University of Miami, Wayne tallied 2,510 yards and 20 TDs on 173 career receptions. A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Wayne was a member of the Colts’ Super Bowl XLI championship team.
