WoMen's Tennis to Host Miami Invite
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – For the only time this fall, the University of Miami women’s tennis team will host a tournament, welcoming players from Maryland, North Florida, South Florida, Florida Gulf Coast and Barry to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center for the Miami Invite.
The event runs from Friday through Sunday and features two singles and two doubles brackets.
Seven Hurricanes will be competing in the Invite, including freshmen Stephanie Wagner and Deborah Suarez, who will be making their collegiate debuts. Juniors Melissa Bolivar, Brittany Dubins and Nicolle Stracar will be joined by underclassmen Lina Lileikite and Kelsey Larente to round out the competing Canes.
Each Miami woman will be featured in one of the two singles brackets. In doubles, Dubins will team with Stracar, Bolivar is paired with Suarez, Lileikite joins Wagner and Laurente will compete alongside Barry’s Akemi Maehama.
First and second round doubles action will begin at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. respectively. The first round of singles will begin at 10:30 a.m.
