CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Monday Morning ProCanes report will weedthrough all the NFL highlights and news to bring you the information you careabout the most… what the former University of Miami Hurricanes did during theweek prior. Week Two of the NFL season was aweek of firsts for the newest batch of ProCanes: Miami Dolphins’ rookie LamarMiller revisited one of his favorite destinations – the back of the Sun LifeStadium endzone – while second-year wideout Leonard Hankerson hauled in the team’slongest pass of the day for his first career professional score. Most impressively, veteran Reggie Wayne placed his name first among the all-time ProCanes in his team’s win over Minnesota.
Lamar Miller (MiamiDolphins) – 10 carries, 65 yards, 1 touchdown
Though Reggie Bush’s dominance helped propel the Fins to their first victory of2012, Lamar Miller’s 15-yard touchdown run helped seal their win over the OaklandRaiders at Sun Life Stadium. Making his debut for the hometown team, Millerscampered through a big hole with just over five minutes remaining in the gameto put Miami up for good. The former Killian standout drew praise fromteammates in his first professional game, finishing with a 6.5-yard average percarry and a personal-best 19-yard run.

Leonard Hankerson (WashingtonRedskins) – 2 catches, 68 yards, 1 touchdown
After failing to record a catch in Week One, second-year wideout LeonardHankerson showed off his speed and ability Sunday against St. Louis. The 2011Redskins’ draftee blew past the secondary on a play action reverse, as rookiequarterback Robert Griffin III unleashed a 68-yard bomb to a wide-openHankerson for his first career score. Though the team ultimately fell on theroad by a final score of 31-28, Hankerson added his name to an ever-growinglist of talented Redskins’ weapons for quarterback RGIII.

Reggie Wayne (IndianapolisColts) – 7 catches, 71 yards, 1 touchdown
After an impressive opening week, veteran Reggie Wayne hauled in his first bigtouchdown catch from a quarterback not named Peyton Manning Sunday afternoon.Rookie draft pick Andrew Luck connected with his 12th-year pro on a30-yard strike just before halftime to give the Colts’ a double-digit lead overMinnesota. With his seven-catch performance, Wayne now ranks fifth in theleague with 15 catches and sixth in receiving yards (206). With his 71-yardperformance, Wayne passed fellow Hurricane legend Michael Irvin for 20thall-time in receiving yards (11,914).

Frank Gore (San Francisco 49ers) – 105 total yards, 89 rushing yards, 1 touchdown
San Francisco’s veteran running back helped lead the home team to a victoryover Detroit on Sunday Night Football. Gore’s one-yard touchdown plunge helpedbuild a 49ers’ lead to start of the second quarter, while his big block on a 3rd-and-14situation helped free up wide receiver Michael Crabtree for a 15-yard gain. Twoweeks into the season, the eighth-year veteran finds himself near the top ofthe league leaderboards in yards (201, fourth), yards per game (100.5, fourth),yards per attempt (6.1, fifth) and touchdowns (two, tied for third).

Jimmy Graham (New Orleans Saints) – 7 catches, 71 yards, 1 touchdown
For the second consecutive week, the third-year tight end helped continue thestreak of eight-straight regular season weeks (and 157 of the past 158) with aProCanes’ score. Though not as flashy as last week’s touchdown, Graham helpedNew Orleans convert a redzone opportunity with a one-yard grab from quarterbackDrew Brees. With the catch, Graham has now caught a touchdown pass in sevenstraight games (including two postseason games), which served as the longestactive streak among all NFL pass-catchers.
