“I thought our women were fantastic today,” head coach Tom Anagnost said. “We had the ball for an enormous part of the match.”

The Canes have seen plenty of success on set pieces this season. On Sunday, UM drew 19 fouls and took seven corner kicks compared to WVU’s three.
“We are still disappointed we did not put anything in the goal,” added Anagnost. “We still lacked a little tactically with our decision making, as well as some composure and technique in the final quarter of the field. I want to give West Virginia credit, they gutted it out today.”
