Johnson Invited to Stoudemire Skills Academy

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Alongside nine of the nation’s fellow premier big men in college basketball, University of Miami center Reggie Johnson will participate in this summer’s Amar’e Stoudemire Skills Academy at the Attack Athletics facility in Chicago, Ill.
During the three-day camp (June 21-23), Johnson will join Stoudemire and some of the most experienced instructors in the game to receive hands-on lessons in training and development. Johnson will participate in five workouts throughout his three days in Chicago, as well as an open media session on the final day.
Last year’s invitees for the Amar’e Stoudemire Skills Academy included Anthony Davis (Kentucky), Mason and Miles Plumlee (Duke), James McAdoo (North Carolina), Alex Oriakhi (Connecticut) and Jared Sullinger (Ohio State).

The 2012 NIKE Positional Skills Academies, hosted by Amar’e Stoudemire, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Deron Williams, consist of three days full of intense skill-instruction alongside peers of the same position. Since 2007, Nike Basketball has selected the top high school and college players for the skills academies, hosted and instructed by many of the NBA’s most talented players.
