El-Sabawi and Wilson Earn Academic Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla.— Thrower Miranda Wilson and sprinter Bassim El-Sabawi were recognized today by the Atlantic Coast Conference as members of the Academic Indoor Track & Field Team.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.

Wilson, a graduate student studying mental health counseling, earns her fourth-career All-ACC Academic Women’s Indoor Track & Field Team.

Sophomore El-Sabawi earns his first All-ACC Academic Men’s Indoor Track & Field Team nod while majoring in Chemistry.
