MIAMI, Fla. — The No. 13 University of Miami Hurricanes will become one of the first teams to grace Marlins Park on Tuesday, as they travel to the Miami Marlins’ new stadium for an exhibition game against the MLB club set for 7 p.m.

The Hurricanes, coming off a disappointing three-game sweep at the hands of the visiting Florida Gators, have a duo of midweek games before another three-game series this weekend.

Miami, who took down the Marlins 9-8 in last year’s exhibition, resume regular season play when they take on visiting Miami (Ohio) University on Wednesday at Alex Rodriguez Park (6 p.m.). Head Coach Jim Morris and his ballclub will then open their conference season against Boston College with a weekend series beginning Friday, March 9.

Lefthander Andrew Suarez will take the mound tonight for the Hurricanes opposite veteran All-Star Mark Buehrle. Follow the game with live updates from @CanesBaseball, or on the radio by tuning into WVUM 90.5 FM.
