Yaroshuk-Tews Named to UM Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2012
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami head women’s tennis coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews has been named to the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2012. Yaroshuk-Tews is joined in the eight-member class by football players Ed Reed Bryant McKinnie, Richard Mercier and Ray Bellamy, track star Patrina Allen, women’s basketball standout Desma Thomas Bateast and pitcher Robbie Morrison.
Yaroshuk-Tews and the rest of the class will be officially inducted at the 44th Annual UM Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet to be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Miami’s Jungle Island. For information on tickets, visit UMSportsHallofFame.com or call 305-284-2775.

Paige Yaroshuk-Tews, Women’s Tennis Coach (2002-Present)
Miami’s all-time winningest coach with a 202-61 (.768) overall record … Has led Miami to the NCAA’s `Elite Eight’ five of last six seasons … Led the Canes to the 2006 NCAA Finals … Has coached four players to ACC Player of the Year honors since UM joined the ACC in 2005 … Coached eight different players to 17 All-America honors and one (Audra Cohen) to an NCAA Singles National title in 2007 … Won 20 matches in seven of last eight years …Has led UM to eight straight Top 15 ITA finishes and four Top 10 finishes in the last six seasons … Becomes part of the first father-daughter duo selected to the Hall as her father Ernie Yaroshuk (baseball) was inducted into the Class of 1992.
