CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Micheal Barrow has been selected to attend the 2011 NCAA Champion Forum on June 16 and 17.

The champion forum is a unique day and a half experience created for football coaches who desire to become head coaches at NCAA member institutions. The NCAA is proud to have collaborated with the D1A Athletics Directors Association, the NFL Player Engagement Department and NACDA on this initiative.

“Congratulations to Coach Barrow on being selected to attend the NCAA Champion Forum,” said UM head coach Al Golden. “Mike wants to be a head coach and this is a fantastic learning opportunity that will provide Coach Barrow with a wealth of knowledge in a short time span.  The assimilation process from assistant coach to head coach can be very difficult, especially dealing with all of the demands that come away from coaching the game. Give the NCAA, D1A Athletics Directors Association, NFL and NACDA credit for providing a roadmap for success.”

Barrow will be joined at the Forum by coaches from Notre Dame, Florida State, Purdue, Buffalo, Houston and Washington.
