Sunday: Miami vs. Hofstra Baseball Gameday Central

The 14th-ranked University of Miami Hurricanes and the Hofstra Pride finish up a weekend slate on Sunday, May 8, inside Alex Rodriguez Park beginning at Noon.

Miami (31-15) took the series Saturday night with a 9-3 victory, sparked by a five-run first inning – as well as freshman outfielder Dale Carey hitting his first home run as a Hurricane in the fifth. Hofstra (11-29) plated two runs in the opening frame before UMiami starter Eric Whaley settled down to collect his seventh win of the year.

Sunday’s contest features live audio provided by the nationally acclaimed WVUM sports staff, the student voice of the Miami Hurricanes, located at 90.5 FM on your radio dial. You can also listen to the broadcast via internet at WVUM.org. Ian Hest, Christina de Nicola and Jay Marshburn will have the call. Also with the call will be WQAM (560 AM).
