Miami vs. UNC Baseball Gameday Central

April 23, 2011

Chapel Hill, N.C. – With Friday’s game rained out, the 20th-ranked University of Miami Hurricanes and 10th-ranked University of North Carolina Tar Heels are set to play two on Saturday, April 23, in ACC baseball action inside Boshamer Stadium beginning at 2 p.m. The first game will be televised on CSS (channel 63 in the Miami-Dade area).

For the Hurricanes (25-12, 13-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), Saturday’s twin-bill represents the third consecutive road series in which UMiami has been forced to play a doubleheader – doing so at Boston College (snow) and Maryland (rain). Miami will throw freshman left-hander Bryan Radziewski in the first game, with sophomore right-handed pitcher Eric Whaley set to go in the second game. UNC (31-8, 12-6 ACC) will match senior right-hander Patrick Johnson against Radziewski, with sophomore righty Shane Taylor on the bump in the second.

Saturday’s doubleheader features live audio provided by the nationally acclaimed WVUM sports staff, the student voice of the Miami Hurricanes, located at 90.5 FM on your radio dial. You can also listen to the broadcast via internet at WVUM.org. Justin Antweil and Scott Braun will have the call.

One of the many new features to HurricaneSports.com this year is a live chat that gives fans the opportunity to interact with each other. All UMiami baseball games this season offer this service provided through Cover It Live. Click on the Cover It Live graphic below to begin interacting today at 1:30 p.m.
