Rain Pushes Men's Tennis Match at UCF to Saturday
March 4, 2011
Orlando, Fla… The No. 34 University of Miami men’s tennis match at UCF has been postponed until Saturday, March 5, at 11:30 a.m. due to rainy conditions in the Orlando area on Friday afternoon.
The match was originally scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. at the UCF Tennis Complex.
The Hurricanes (5-3) ride a two match win streak into this weekend’s road contests at UCF and USF, and return to the court fresh off last Saturday’s 4-3 win over ACC opponent Florida State. ACC Player of the Week Carl Sundberg (10-7), as well as Keith Crowley (6-4), Eduardo Pavia (12-7) and Gabriel Flores (10-10) have each won back-to-back singles matches entering competition with the Knights.
The doubles tandem of Sundberg and Christian Blocker (2-1) also rides a two-match win streak.
UCF (5-5) is back in action following last Sunday’s sweep of Florida Gulf Coast.
