Miami takes on FAU on Sunday at Schiff Center
Feb. 19, 2011
Coral Gables, Fla.–After being rained out of their match on January 20th, the No. 39 University of Miami men’s tennis team will finally get to take on their South Florida rival, Florida Atlantic University, tomorrow at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center at 3 p.m.
This will not be the first meeting this year for several players from both squads, as the Hurricanes compiled a 4-1 record against the Owls in singles matches during October’s round-robin UM Invitational.
The Hurricanes swept the Owls last year, 7-0, and have opened the past three seasons with wins over FAU. The Owls come in led by Marc Abdelnour, ranked No. 124 in the nation. Abdelnour took Miami’s Carl Sundberg to a third-set tiebreaker last year in UM’s victory.
As always, admission to every regular-season tennis match at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center is free.
