GREENSBORO, N.C. –
Miami swept this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country individual honors as Connor Adams was named the Men’s Performer of the Week and Brooke Dovell the Women’s Performer of the Week.
Adams led the Hurricanes to the team championship in the Miami Elite Invitational held Friday in Miami, Fla. The Flower Mound, Texas native won his first collegiate race finishing the 5k course in 15:45.87 – nearly a minute better than his previous season-best 5k time.
For the second time this season, Brooke Dovell claimed an individual title as she cruised to a time of 18:36.95 on the Miami Elite Invitational’s 5k course. The Erial, N.J., keyed the Hurricanes to their second-straight team title and third of the season. Dovell also earned the conference accolade after winning the King of the Hill Challenge in the season opener on Sept. 5.
The Hurricanes will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 30 when they travel to Boston to take part in the ACC Championships.
