Miami Football Ranked 13th in Latest AP Poll

CORAL GABLES, Fla.— After an impressive road win over the defending ACC Atlantic Division champs Clemson , the University of Miami football team moved up to No. 13 in the AP poll and No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Hurricanes (3-1) will continue conference play Saturday when in-state rival Florida State travels to Sun Life Stadium at 8 p.m. in a primetime game on ABC.Miami and Florida State are the only two ACC team ranked in both polls. Florida State joined the ‘Canes in the AP poll at No. 23 and are No. 24 in the coaches poll.
The Hurricanes are now the highest ranked team in the state in the AP poll at No. 13 after No. 14 Florida fell at top-ranked Alabama Saturday night, 31-6. The Gators entered last week ranked No. 7, but are still two spots ahead of the `Canes in the coaches poll at No. 12.
Both polls are indentical with the first five teams. Alabama remains No. 1, followed by Ohio State, Oregon, Boise State and TCU. The AP poll has Oklahoma at No. 6 followed by Nebraska, Auburn, Arizona and Utah in its top 10. The coaches poll has Nebraska at No. 6 followed by Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU and Utah in its top 10.
