UM Athletics to Host Speaker Series with Randy Shannon

Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami Hurricane Club has announced a two-part speaker series on Sept. 7, and Nov. 1, with sites set in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
The “It’s All About the `U’ Speaker Series”, is open to 100 guests at each venue. The series will include commentary on UM Athletics, and is designed to be a fast-paced program which will feature UM head football coach Randy Shannon.
The first event is set for Tues., Sept. 7, at the Timpano Chophouse in downtown Ft. Lauderdale (Broward County). Attendees will have exclusive access to Coach Shannon on the Tuesday (Sept. 7) of the `Canes highly anticipated showdown at No. 2 Ohio State.
The second date is Mon., Nov. 1, at RACKS Downtown Eatery & Tavern at Mizner Park (Palm Beach County) and will give UM fans the opportunity to hear from the `Canes leader when the team is right in the middle of the fight for a berth in the ACC Championship Game.
Both events will begin at Noon and run through 1 p.m., with ticket prices set for $35 (non-Hurricane Club members) and $30 (Hurricane Club donors). All proceeds will go towards the University of Miami Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund.
