Hurricanes Top 3 Performers of the Week

Murielle Ahoure, Senior, Track and Field
In the ACC Outdoor Championships, Ahoure won the 100-meter and 200-meter titles with times of 11.36 and 22.98 seconds, respectively. Miami finished fifth in the final rankings for the three-day meet. With the strong performance, Ahoure, who now owns four individual ACC titles in the spring, helped Miami move up to No. 15 in the latest Outdoor Track national poll.
Keith Crowley, Sophomore, Men’s Tennis
In the ACC Tournament this past weekend, Crowley collected three wins in two matches against North Carolina State and Wake Forest. He has won his last seven singles matches and three doubles matches, all in conference play. Crowley, with the wins, is currently tied with freshman Ignacio Taboada for the team-lead in singles wins with 22 on the season.
Michaela Kissell, Sophomore, Women’s Tennis
Kissell won a combined five matches in singles and doubles in the ACC Tournament last weekend. Her lone loss in the tournament was to the No. 16 ranked doubles team of Duke with teammate Laura Vallverdu, their first loss in the last nine matches. Kissell, who has a record of 35-7 in singles and 32-12 in doubles on the season, is on a current 13-match win streak.
