Hurricanes Top 3 Performers of the Week

Jason Hagerty, Junior, Baseball

In a weekend series against No. 3 Georgia Tech and a single game against Barry, Hagerty went a combined 8-16 (.500) with 10 total RBI, 4 runs, and 1 home run. He either led or tied for the team-high in RBI in three out of the past four games. Hagerty, who is currently batting .302, leads the Hurricanes with 29 RBI and is second in home runs with 5 this season.

 

Keith Crowley, Sophomore, Men’s Tennis

In matches against Virginia Tech and top-ranked Virginia, Crowley went a combined 3-1, including a singles win over No. 83 Lee Singer of Virginia. His only loss came in a hard fought doubles match against the nations No. 4 ranked team also out of Virginia. Crowley has won four out of his last five singles matches and is 17-7 overall in the spring, including a 4-1 record in ACC play.

 

Maria Ronderos, Sophomore, Women’s Golf

At the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate Tournament at Eagle’s Landing Country Club, Ronderos shot a +8 (73-77-74=224) for the Hurricanes. Her score was a team-high and good enough for a seventh place tie in the tournament. Ronderos, who was a former Colombian National Champion, has finished in the Top 10 twice this season for Miami.
