Miami (6-1, 0-0 ACC) is coming off a midweek win over Lehigh, 9-2, Tuesday night. The Hurricanes had a season-high 14 hits in the win as five different Hurricanes had at least two hits. Early on, UM is hitting .296, but the story has been the `Canes pitching. Opponents are hitting just .166 against UM pitchers, while the staff has struck out 79 in 63 innings and walked just 19 while posting a 2.86 team ERA. Offensively Preseason All-Americans Blake Tekotte (.435, 10 Runs, 10 Hits, 1 HR, 3 RBI), Jemile Weeks (.345, 7 Runs, 10 Hits, 3 2B, 2 HR, 7 RBI) Yonder Alonso (.333, 3 Runs, 8 Hits, 2 2B, 6 RBI) anchor the lineup, but shortstop Ryan Jackson has been the hottest slugging .773.
