A day after the UM’s other All-American Krista Simkins ran a blazing 52.94 in the 400-meter dash, her teammate Ena Leufroy won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:10.39.
The junior All-American won the event which featured a total of 48 competitors.
The Hurricanes moved up 24 places this past week in the USTFCCCA to no. 17 in the nation. In two weeks the `Canes will look to reclaim an ACC Indoor Championship that eluded them a year ago. This year the conference championships will be held on the University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, N.C.
