The DMR team of Tim Harris, Cory Nelms, Patrick O’Donnell and Richard Bernard set a new school record with a time of 10:05.52, good for a third place finish, behind Georgia Tech and PennState.

Sophomore Les Bradley was victorious in the 60-meter hurdles, as the only competitor to finish under eight seconds, with a time of 7.98.  Bradley’s teammate Nelms placed third in the same event with a time of 8.03.

Making an impressive debut this season was freshman Demarcus Vandyke who finished six with a time of 6.88 in the 60-meter dash.  “I am very pleased that Demarcus was able to come out and run,” said head coach Mike Ward.  “That is the first time in two years that we have ran under seven seconds.”

“It was good to see the men perform well, and getting the record in the DMR was special,” Ward said.  “We look to carry that momentum into the final day.”
