Miami Concludes Friday's Events at Penn Relays

PENNSYLVANIA, Pa. – After a delayed start due to rain and lightning, the University of Miami men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up a successful afternoon Friday at the 113th Penn Relays held at historic Franklin Field.
In the men’s pole vault “College” division junior Casey McGinn topped a mark of 4.75 meters (15-07.00) to finish tied for sixth after being forced indoor due to the weather.
Freshman Cory Nelms competed in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing with a time of 14.57 seconds.
Miami sprint medley team of Nelms, seniors Terrell Walden and Roland DaSilva, and junior Tim Harris ran a time of 3:20.00 in the “Championship of America” to finish seventh out of 50 teams.
