Hurricanes Complete Successful Second Day of 2007 ACC Outdoor Championships

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Miami men’s team concluded the second day of the competition at the 2007 ACC Outdoor Track and Field team Friday at Kehoe Track at Ludwig Field at the University of Maryland.

On the men’s side, senior Roland DaSilva placed fourth overall in the decathlon with 6,903 points.

Junior Tim Harris ran the fastest time in the 800-meter prelims clocking in at 1:49.71. In the 110-meter hurdles freshmen Les Bradley and Cory Nelms qualified for Sunday’s finials with times of 14.47 and 14.71 which were the fourth and fifth-fastest times, respectively, of the afternoon.

The third and final day of the 2007 ACC Outdoor Championships will continue Saturday beginning with women’s shotput at 11 a.m. and concluding with the men’s 1,600-meter relay at 4 p.m. followed by the awards presentation at 4:15 p.m.
