Miami Concludes 2007 NCAA Indoor Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- Senior Ginou Etienne placed fourth in the women’s 400-meters to earn All-America honors on the final day of competition at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the University of Arkansas.
Etienne’s finished Saturday’s finals of the 400-meters in 52.47 seconds marking the second-fastest individual performance in UM indoor history. The fourth-place finish garners Etienne indoor All-America honors in the 400-meters for the second time in her career.
In the weight throw junior Khadija Talley finished 13th overall with a throw of 19.27 meters (63-02.75 feet).
Overall the Hurricanes finished 17th in the final point standings.
Miami will open the outdoor season next weekend hosting the 2007 Hurricane Invitational – a three-day event beginning Thursday – at Cobb Stadium.
