CLEMSON, S.C. – Senior Amy Seward’s third place finish in the women’s pentathlon highlighted the conclusion of first day of competition at the 2007 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships Thursday held at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Facility.

Seward, whose third place finish at this year’s championship warrants her All-ACC indoor honors in the pentathlon for third-consecutive season, finished with a total of 3,925 points – an NCAA provisional mark – which included a first-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.10 meters.

On the men’s side, senior Roland DaSilva, who won the 60-meter dash portion of the day, sits in third place in the heptathlon with 2,878 points after four events.
