Seward Finishes Second at LSU Combined Events

BATON ROUGE, La. – University of Miami senior Amy Seward placed first in two of five events to finish second overall Thursday in the women’s pentathlon at the LSU Combined Events.

Seward won the shot put with a mark of 36 feet, two inches and finished first in the long jump with a mark of 19 feet, seven inches en route to earning 3,615 total points on the day.

Fellow senior Debbie Estime placed sixth overall followed by UM freshman Deandra Doyley who finished seventh.

The Hurricane women’s track team will return to action Feb. 2 at the two-day New Balance Invitational in New York, N.Y.
