Phlatts Leads Women's Cross Country at Gator Invitational

Gainesville, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – Junior DeeDee Phlatts (Silver Spring, Md.) finished 48th to lead the University of Miami women’s cross country team to a 13th place finish at the Mountain Dew Gator Cross Country Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.

Phlatts, who completed the 5K course in a time of 19:21.53, has been the Hurricanes top finisher in both meets this season. Allison McElhaney was 83rd for Miami in a time of 20:09.07 while freshman Elizabeth Garro was 107th in time of 20:42.10.

Miami posted 358 points to finish 13th in the 20 team field.
