Harris Advances At NCAA Championships

Sacramento, Calif. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami sophomore All-American Tim Harris (Miami Booker T. Washington) finished fourth in his preliminary heat of the 800-meters to advance to Thursday’s semifinals.
Harris, the ACC Indoor and Outdoor Champion, posted a career-best time of 1:48.72 in qualifying 16th overall.
He finished 10th earlier this season at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships becoming Miami’s first men’s All-American since Aaron Moser (decathlon) in 2000.
Harris is attempting to become the first Hurricane since Davian Clarke (400-meters) in 1998 to earn All-America honors at both the indoor and outdoor championships in the same season.
