National Championship Ring to be Auctioned

Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – On Friday, March, 24 the University of Miami will be auctioning off a 1991 Football National Championship Ring. This ring will be identical to the ring given to the players and coaches of the 1991 National Championship Team. The winning bidder will have the ring customized with his or her last name and properly sized.

The auction can be accessed through www.hurricanesports.comand all proceeds will benefit the University of Miami Athletic Department. Do not miss out on this opportunity to own a unique and extremely rare piece of University of Miami Football History.

The 1991 National Championship Team was coached by Dennis Erickson. Some notable players on the 1991 team were Gino Torretta, Mario Cristobal, Horace Copeland, Leon Searcy, Lamar Thomas, Jessie Armstead, Micheal Barrow, and Darryl Williams. The Hurricanes defeated Nebraska 22-0 in the Orange Bowl Classic to capture the national championship title.
