Tim Harris to Compete at NCAA Indoor Championships

Sophomore Tim Harris (Miami, Fla.) is seeded seventh in the 800-meters to make his first appearance at the national meet.
Harris ran 1:47.99 in the 800 meter run at the St. Valentine’s Invite in Boston to qualify provisionally for the meet. That mark also broke an 11-year school record and he was the top collegiate finisher at that meet.
Harris won the 800-meter at the ACC Indoor Championships. He qualified first in preliminaries and finished the finals in 1:49.12, winning by over a second. The victory was Harris’ third of the season and fourth of his career. It was Harris’ second All-ACC performance, along with his second place finish in 2005.
The NCAA Championships are on March 10-11 in Fayetteville, Ark. at the TysonIndoorTrackCenter.
