Men's Track and Field to Compete at ACC Indoor Championships

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s track and field team is traveling to Blacksburg, Va. to compete at the ACC Indoor Championships in the Rector Field House February 23-25.  <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

                                            

Sophomore Tim Harris leads the Hurricanes having posted a NCAA provisional mark in the 800 meters. He leads the ACC in that event.  Harris will also be competing in the 4×400 relay team, along with Patrick O’Donnell, Roland DaSilva, and Lance Leggett.

 

Leggett will also compete in the 60 meter hurdles, along with Brett Jones.  Andrew Johnson is the other sprinter, competing in the 60 meter dash.

 

The distance runners will be Ryan Woodlee in the 3000 meters and the Distance Medley Relay team of O’Donnell, Khalil Jones, Richard Bernard and Zach Castiglione.

 

DaSilva and Andrew Parsons will be competing in the Pentathlon.  The jumpers for the meet will be Darnell Johnson in the triple, Elan Daviglus in the high, and Jon Beason in the long.  Casey McGinn will pole vault to round out the field competitors for the Hurricanes.

 

Events start on Thursday afternoon, with the Pentathlon, and end Saturday afternoon with the 4×400 relay.  A complete schedule of events is posted below.  Updates will be available on hurricanesports.com throughout the weekend.
