Hurricanes Complete Friday Events at Penn State National Invite

University Park, Pa. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s track and field team finished up its first day of competition at the Penn State National Invite. Junior Amy Seward posted a provisional mark in the pentathalon scoring 3736 points, as she placed third in that event.

Senior Tabia Charles placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.35 meters on her third jump. She competes again tomorrow afternoon in the triple jump.

The team of senior Melanie Schultz, freshman Ena Leufroy, junior Ginou Etienne, and junior Danielle Bailey ran the distance medley relay in a time of 11:46.22, to take third place in the event.
