Miami Divers Head to Ohio State Invitational

CORAL GABLES, <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>Fla. – The University of Miami diving squad is set to compete in the Ohio State Invitational held at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion Friday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 4. Each day will consist of preliminaries in the afternoon and finals in the evening. <?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

12 schools are slated to compete in the diving events including Arizona State, Bowling Green, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kenyon, Michigan State, Minnesota, OhioState, PennState and Purdue.

Diving competition will begin with women’s 1-meter and men’s 3-meter on Friday with preliminaries at 2:00 p.m. and finals at 7:00 p.m. Competition will resume on Saturday with preliminaries for the women’s 3-meter and the men’s 1-meter at 1:00 p.m. following by finals at 7:00 p.m. The meet will conclude the men’s and women’s platform diving event. Both prelims and finals will begin at noon.
