Hoyes, Subramanian Advance into Main Draw at Southeast Regional

Senior John Hoyes and sophomore Vivek Subramanian each recorded a pair of wins in Thursday’s qualifiying draw to earn a birth into the 128-player main draw beginning Friday at the 2005 Wilson/ITA Southeast Regional hosted by the <?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>University of Memphis.
Hoyes, seeded fourth in the qualifying draw, did not drop a set in both matches. Hoyes downed MississippiState’s Ryan Farlow, 7-6, 6-2 following a win over Alabama’s Jordie Kindervarter en route a main draw slot.
Subramanian, seeded fifth, was the last seeded player to advance after defeating LSU’s John Tragardh, 6-3, 6-2, to move on to Friday’s main draw.
Hoyes and Subramanian, along with seniors Tim Krebs, Eric Hechtman and junior Josh Cohen will continue play at the Southeast Regional with Friday’s 128-man draw beginning at 8 a.m.
