Women's Golf Finishes Third

Lexington, Ky. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami women’s golf team recorded a three-round total of 893 (300-299-294) to finish third out of 15 teams at the Wildcat Fall Invitational in Lexington, Ky.

Junior Josie Shinn (Pinehurst, N.C.) was the Hurricanes’ top finisher placing fourth with a score of 220 (75-71-74).

Sophomore Jessica Stewart (77-74-75–226) and junior Tiffany Prats (73-83-70–226), who’s final round 70 was the low round of the day, each finished in a tie for 18th.

Florida (296-288-297–881) won the team title, while the Gator’s Mallory Blackwelder (68-71-73–212) captured the individual title.

The Hurricanes return to action October 21-23 at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C.
