Schultz Impressive At Notre Dame Invitational

Notre Dame, Ind. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami senior Melanie Schultz (Davison, Mich.) recorded an impressive 25th-place finish on Friday night at the Notre Dame Invitational held at the Notre Dame Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind.

Schultz, who was the only Hurricane woman to make the trip to Notre Dame, finished the five kilometer course in a time of 17:39. The field included several of the nation’s top teams including No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 5 Michigan, No. 10 Arkansas, No. 12 Wake Forest and No. 18 Butler.

The UM women’s team will return to action on Saturday, October 8 at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla.
