Men's Tennis Splits Up for Pair of Tournaments

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Members of the University of Miami men’s tennis team will break up this weekend, traveling to a pair of tournaments, the University of Virginia Fall Classic in Charlottesville, Va. and the USF Invitational in Tampa, Fla., running Friday through Sunday.

The Hurricanes’ four ranked singles players – junior Josh Cohen (20th), junior Luigi D’Agord (26th), senior Tim Krebs (62nd) and senior Eric Hechtman (100th) – will head to the Synder Tennis Center in Virginia to compete at the UVa Fall Classic which will feature at least 19 ranked players from 15 different schools in a 96-player field.

The UVa Fall Classic will consist of two 48-player singles flights along with three 16-team doubles flights.

Miami’s remaining roster of senior John Hoyes, junior P.J. Passalacqua and sophomores Vivek Subramanian and Ryan Waits will head to Tampa to take part in the four-team USF Invitational at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.

The USF Invitational will feature two 16-player singles flights and one eight-team doubles flight.
